I am home from the notary at my bank and Fed Ex. The realtor in Ohio called me to make sure I wasa on the case, and I assured him it wopuld be in his hands tomorrow. He said the closing was set5 for Sept. 29.

Isn’t that George Gershwin’s birthday?

Beats me!

DR Elmore, that's great news about the property!

DR Elmore, that's great news about the property!
It's good news that it is hopefully over and done with but horrible in that we've each paid over $25,000 in property taxes for 15 years, and that's about all we'rte making on the sale. So much for the wisdom of two dumbass brothers, my dad's dumbass lawyer, and a misguided move by my father, whose intentions were to give us each around $250,000 and avoid inheritance taxes.

What a collection of stooges.

DR George I recently saw something about vegan chocolate.  I wonder if it was the same brand.  Thanks for mentioning it.

So is that surgery done with just numbing, or with the patient in a twilight sleep?

A friend of mine just had it done a couple of days ago and I haven’t had a chance to connect with him yet. I hope Richard is doing well!

I stopped at a tiny sandwich shop that, for some reason, I have never visited in all my years of living here. The wait is long because of to-go orders called in. But they have a handmade rhubarb pie in the bakery area, so all’s right with the world, as Mr. Browning might say.

DR ChasSmith, we met Kathy and David at First Watch on Beechmont.  It's right around the corner from their house and the surgery center.

Thanks, DR John G!  He's about to try to take a shower without getting his bandaged hand wet.

Look, Ma! No cavities!

That's what I hope to be able to say in a couple of hours after my semi-annual dental check-up.

DR Ginny, I don't know how I missed your post about Richard's surgery. It slounds as if all went well, and I am very happy for him.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  Sorry to be E & T yesterday.  Richard had carpal tunnel surgery on his left hand at a surgery center way down in Anderson Twp, the Cincinnati 'burb where his brother lives.  Because no general anesthetic was scheduled, we were able to go out for brunch with said brother and his wife on the way to the afternoon appointment.  Surgery went fine, but we were very tired when we got home.

  The power just went out

That makes it kind of hard to operate your CPAP.

I didn't think about that.  No wonder you woke up.

Did they give him injections to numb his hand?

That looks like a really interesting resource, DR Jrand72. Will require further investigation... Thanks for the link!
