It’s been too windy and chilly to do laundry on Paros.

Is that because you hang them on a clothes line to dry?

Thankfully I have enough clean clothes for the next two trips. First to Athens, then home the next morning.

I heard it rained in San Antonio. My plants might be happy.

I hope so.

I wish you could hear the winds beat against this cottage.

Is it a nice sound?

The day is flying by and I have done nothing important.

Of course, I never do anything truly important.

It's a typical day...

I had a new flapper installed in my master bathroom toilet.  It's the first time in months that it has flushed correctly.

I'm no good at stuff like that.  The plumber even had a difficult time of it.

But it's done.

I did go to The Chicken Place to buy my lunch.  It's the first time since pre-pandemic that I have been there.

It's a good place to get chicken and other southern delectables.  i had two pieces of fried chicken, white meat, and two sides:  Potato salad and fried okra.

Boy, was it GOOD!

Keith said we need one of those in our quest bathroom.

I rarely use the elevator in our building.  Today, after a trip to Costco, was one of those rare occasions.  We have nice wheelbarrows for carting bulky items up and down.

Five minutes later I went down to return the wheelbarrow.

The elevator door opened, and to my shock there was a solid door blocking my exit.

Back up I went and was relieved when the doors opened and I could safely exit.

Knowing it probably had something to do with the fire inspection going on outside in the fire room.  Yup.  Apparently it releases the magnet to the fire safety door causing it to shut.  I was told I could have pushed it opened.

Have you ever thought of going to The Chicken Place and saying "Got any pork?"     8)

Fancy a Viking river cruise along the Miississippi from Saint Paul to New Orleans?

The 15-day trip costs only $13,000 if you get the cheapest berth. Oh, and they're sold out through 2024.

We saw our upstairs neighbor at our dog park.  When I told her what happened she said "you just push it open & use the door stand to keep it open".

She has lived here longer than we have, and she uses the elevator more than we do ;D

The stops look nice.  The only place I have been to is New Orleans.

There is a steamboat cruise that leave from here and travels the Columbia River.  It too is very pricey.
