I’ve got three books I’m in the middle of. I don’t care enough about Annie Erneaux’s The Years, but I’m about 75% through. Fredrik Backman’s The Winners is better.

I feel really bad, John, that I have never read any of the books that you are reading.

The last is the Zola’s The Earth, which I think I’ll finish when I get home. I have a better translation there.

Speaking of translations, my library just bought a 2005 "definitive English translation" of Don Quixote by Edith Grossman.

It looked pretty interesting, so I bought the Kindle version...it was only $1.99.

I love Man of La Mancha (I was in two different productions of it), but I've never read the book.

A few years ago, I did download the free Guggenheim public domain version, but I was never inspired to read it...now, I just might. :)

Did you see, George, that Amazon had (I think it was) a German cast recording of THE ADAM’s FAMILY?  Of course, you probably already own it.

The edition that I (and the library) bought is called the P.S. edition, which "features an extra 16 pages of insights into the book, including author interviews, recommended reading, and more."

Did you see any of the productions that Micheal O’Hara did?

I don't own it!  But at $63.04, it's not high enough on my list to consider getting. ::) Thanks for letting me know, though.  I did add it to my list. :D

According to CastAlbums.org, in addition to the German cast recording, there's also a Mexican cast recording and a Polish cast recording!

I will add those to my list.  I am still holding out for the Transylvanian cast.
