DR vixmom, what a scary story. The poor kid's lucky you weren't carrying your Colt 45.

I am also very very happy he wasn't a highjacker.

My email this morning brings me an offer to purchase a digital Seated Tai Chi class. That's probably about my style.

From Frank Rich's New York Times review of Marlowe, 1981:

WHEN everything goes right in a musical, the audience feels a rush of exhilaration that is the quintessence of Broadway. And what happens when everything goes wrong? Well, when everything goes wrong, another kind of giddiness sets in - that same slaphappy feeling that comes when Laurel and Hardy send a grand piano crashing down a flight of stairs.

Such is the perverse pleasure offered by ''Marlowe,'' a wholly ridiculous show that is much more fun to sit through than many merely mediocre musicals. Like such famous Broadway fiascos as ''Kelly,'' ''Rachel Lily Rosenbloom,'' and ''Rockabye Hamlet,'' this one has the courage to meet vulgarity far more than halfway. If ''Marlowe'' isn't quite a classic of its kind, that's a matter of size, not content. Tacky-looking and sparsely populated, this show lacks the Titanic-like splendor and expenditure of Broadway's all-time fabulous wrecks.

Immediately upon arriving home last night I started sneezing like a sunnybeach. My sinuses felt sore, I felt tired all over, and the sneezing continued. I hoped it was just allergies, and I popped a Benadryl to insure getting some decent sleep. I then tested for Covid this morning, and I'm all clear in that department. I think the crap is easing up, but I'll take care today to make sure it's passing. I also need to ketchup on my flu shot and every other kind of shot.

A Ghost Story (2017)

Opera
The Turn of the Screw
The Mines of Sulfur - (don't know this one - yet!)

Rainy Saturday!

Well we petitioned the court to close our uncle's estate yesterday and sent out the FINAL PAYOUT checks to the gaping maws.....our balance is now $zero.  We finished the ledger with ALL transactions clearly in place.

My sister is on her way to spend a week with her daughter her husband and her almost new grand daughter.

I went to the bank and deposited my Final Check.

I like Finn Wittrock......but I am not sure I would like the play as described by MR BK.....I no I would not like it with that audience.
