My first hand surgery is scheduled for November 29.  They offered me November 22, but I said I didn’t want to deprive anyone at the Thanksgiving table from laughing at my inability to get the fork to reach my mouth.

I just discovered the most wonderful thing - why it took me two YEARS is another story. I had the sudden realization that I could pair my laptop with my desktop good computer speakers via Bluetooth. It took all of ten seconds to do, and now I can just play CDs that I don't really want to put into the Music app from there. This is fantastic. Now I can hear my operas without putting them into the Music app. Now playing, a box set of French music, mono performances by Hans Rosbaud - seriously great performances and the sound is actually pretty good.
