Wordle:  2/6   Used my alternate starter word, which turned out to be a good choice.

Well I guess I should have stayed awake a bit later last night.

From what I can remember:

Nellybelle was the jeep driven by Pat Brady in The Roy Rogers Show.  I don't think I was even in school - but it already seemed to me that Pat was the most annoying and useless character in the show and really had no reason to be there and take up time that could be spent watching Roy and Dale ride their horses.

Vern Allbright, father of my little Margie, worked at Honeywell & Todd....he wasn't a lawyer I think it was some kind of insurance or advertising agency - their clients were varied.

Mr. Honeywell was often involved in the antics as was neighbor Mrs. Odetts who was pretty funny, too.

I think Neal was the dog on Topper and Cleo was the basset hound on The People's Choice starring Jackie Cooper as Socrates, young go getter whose fiance called him Sock.

Cleo the dog would look at the camera while Mary Jane Randolph said her lines.....which were funny.  In one episode she was sitting on the stove in the kitchen and Sock told her to get down.

We got a closeup of Cleo while Mary Jane said:  "Now and then I get the urge to ride the range."

Which makes me laugh over 60 years later.

The cooking has begun. The sweet potatoes are boiling on the stove. My goal is to get them and the chicken into the oven by 12:30.

From Rolling Stone:

the new musical Some Like It Hot — a fresh take on a somewhat outdated Marilyn Monroe movie

Well, the sweet potatoes turned out to be a complete dud: not enough brown sugar and too much butter. Damn!
