I liked The Brothers Four just a bit more and The Kingston Trio just a little less......but they were right up there in my LP collecting lexicon.

I do actually peel 5lbs of white mushrooms and add them to  sautéed onion and Penzeys foxpoint seasoning and butter and simmer them slowly for hours with cream sherry

At one point in the 1990s, the Chad Mitchell Trio gave a concert at Symphony Space, and I went with my frioend John Mekeel, who's in prison now for killing his father. The concert was wonderful, and I went backstage after the show to tell them how important they were to me in the late 1960s and 70s. Two of them, Joe and Mike, were friendly and very welcoming. Chad Mitchell was an arrogant little shit, which was too bad.

DR Jane, the book is called Agathe's Stories: A Child's Journey from Germany to America by Agathe Maier Glaser. It is not very long. It doesn't seem available generally; I ordered it from print-on-demand Blurb. I am happy to share it with you when I have finished.
