Off to find my room for sleeping. Will be back tomorrow in a somewhat abbreviated number of visits (I think).

Good night.

DR CILLALIZ; What a turtle cheesecake at Rebos looks like?  Why TURTLE… ???
I don't know why turtle, but it's chocolate, carmel and pecans on a New York style cheesecake

"Turtles" are a candy made of caramel and pecans covered in chocolate that vaguely remind one of a turtle's shell.  Here is one picture:

And unless you have some made from real cheap (meaning low quality) ingredients, they're very, very, very (that's three verys) good! ;D

Well...

The original Turtles candy are made of pecans, caramel and chocolate.

You arrange a couple of pecans in a bunch, then pour caramel over them - enough to hold them all together - and then once the caramel is set, you either dip the whole thing in melted chocolate, or pour melted chocolate over it.  The resulting candy looks like a turtle - sort of.  Some candy makers even go as far arranging the pecans so that they have a head and legs.

... And then there are variations using cashews, peanuts, macadamia nuts, brazil nuts, etc.

Well, if I'm to be functional at auditions tomorrow...  And I also have to negotiate a contract in the morning too - which is something I truly do not like having to do.  Ah, well...  In any case..

Goodnight.

*And, technically, since it's 1:00AM as I post this, I am not WUSSBURGERING... technically.

I started watching "Rookie" with Dennis Quaid, about a 30/40 something year old guy trying out for the baseball minor leagues and I think he's going to be "sent up" to the major leagues.  I was expecting "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" to be on at 10:00 p.m., but "Rookie" started at 8:00 and won't be over until 11:00.  So that's where I've been.

The actual title is "The Rookie" and here's the synopsis from imdb.com:

When a shoulder injury ended his minor league pitching career twelve years ago, Jim Morris resorted to the next best thing: coaching. But Jim's team, knowing their coach is a great ball player, makes a deal with him: if they win the district championship, they want Jim to try out for a major-league organization. Going from worst to first, the team makes it to state, and Jim is forced to live up to his end of the deal. While there prove to be a lot of pitches to be thrown before he makes it off the mound, big-league dreams are revived, and there's no telling where he could go.

It is of course Bastille Day today (Thursday).
Greetings to François.
I think he will be back in another week.

Speaking of CDs, I'm putting together some songs by The Manhattan Transfer for you, Tomovoz.  I said that I would do this last week, but the 2-CD set that I was just going to copy, "The Manhattan Transfer Anthology:  Down In Birdland," went missing. :'( I have no idea where it is, so I'm compiling songs from all of TMT's actual CDs.  That's why I haven't sent anything yet.  But I will!

Floyd Cramer has been replaced by Sam Cooke.
