I am glad I wasn't clearing the sidewalk by the street or I would have been hurt

Only two other people logged in for our noon zoom meeting. So we had to reschedule for next week.

I have another zoom meeting for a different group tonight. There is one phrase that is used where I play the drinking game. We'll see how many swigs I take tonight.

I always say, no one needs to know what's in your coffee cup in a zoom meeting.

The TOD reminds me of Danny Peary's book Cult Movies - I think there are three volumes.

Highly recommended reading.  That is where I first earned about THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL.

DP was mos complimentary about MR BK's directing/writing/acting - and the photos used made me determined to see the movie someone way or another.   And about 1/2 later, I found a used VHS copy at a record store -PEACHES, I think.

After the meeting, I discovered that the back door was ajar. I couldn't find Leonard in his usual places, so I looked outside in the backyard. I heard some yowling, and he was yowling at the feral black cat that lives in the yard. Luckily, I was able to catch him and bring him back inside. I knew I had the right black cat, because, well, Leonard is chunky. The feral black cat -- Queenie -- is kinda skinny.

Here's another Westwood photo from July 1975. You can see LOVE AND DEATH playing at the Regent and NASHVILLE at the Village. I had forgotten that Lums was so prominent there. Click to enlarge for your viewing pleasure.

So which camera store did that beautiful signage belong to? That wasn't Bel Air, was it, on Broxton? Weren't they on Westwood? Or did they move? I do seem to recall a change they made at some point - and I don't mean their ultimate move to where the National had stood.

Speaking of moving, wasn't the Westwood Book Store also in this block on that side of the street? Before their own deadly move over to Gayley?

The neighbor did a fine job plowing the heavy wet sh*   - I mean sn*w  - and we did a lot of cleanup with the shovels, and some salting and sanding.

DONE - with this storm, I hope.

Now we have to see what they have in store for us on Friday. A little mix, I think, and I hope not too much because some of us have places to go, things to do, people to see.

It helps to have someone do the initial plowing.

LOL, I thought you were joking about the alcohol.  I think it is great you indulge during the meetings.

Vixmom, that is scary, and I'm glad it turned out okay. Getting hit full force with that stuff could be really dangerous.

It is always scary when you realize the cat escaped.  I am glad he was easy to catch.

Great books! Though I’ve never found Vol. 3. So many films I learned about from reading those. And so many cult films now forgotten, like Deep End. Peary was on point about Paramount fumbling Nudie Musical in an effort to protect their family franchise.
