DR Rodzinski, I am sorry to read of the medical travails of your in-laws. I hope things improve, but it sounds like a long haul.

Oh yes DR JOHN G - The Razor's Edge with Tyrone (just back from the war), Gene Tierney, Anne Baxter, and Clifton Webb is a wonderful movie.

Lucile Watson is also wonderful as Tierney's mother and John Payne is good as Gray.  Herbert Marshall as Maugham himself is very touching.

I also like the book a lot. It gets a bit more metaphysical - but it's good.

The Bill Murray remake had a good moment or two....Theresa Russell playing Sophie (Baxter's part) was probably my favorite of the performers.

This afternoon has been Troy Donahue at Warner Bros......and tonight is James Dean ditto on TCM.

There is a new scan of EAST OF EDEN so I shall probably watch that and stick around for REBEL and GIANT.

East and Giant are epics in length. That’s one hefty evening.

I have a set. Never used. A pinch of salt in my book is a good teaspoon size anyway.

Because I cannot carry items from one place to another, I push them around on a teacart. Stella thinks it's her new bed. There's a bit of Thatch at the bottom of the photo.

Thank you folks for the kind vibes. A long road indeed, but we’ll get through. Picked up a bunch of prescribed mobility equipment and such from the Canadian Red Cross today.

About nine reviews now. I don't know most of the folks writing them, at least the ones posted thus far.

DRs George and TCB, I am so proud of your governor!

I am, too!  And he's also Jane's and Keith's governor, too (and Jed's and Ann's)!

What am I, chopped liver up here?

Had pad Thai from a nearby jernt - and it was the best I've found from around here - tasted just the way I like it, a nice portion, I'm full, and no need to eat anything else.

I don’t like that Amazon Prime cuts off the end credits of Sami.

The second time I was viewing some episodes, it played through the credits.

If you hit the "back" button on your remote, once the little pop-up for the next episode appears, you can return to the full credits on the current episode.

I think promptly hitting "Hide" on the little pop-up tells it you want the credits to continue. I forget now, but I found some routine that worked.

But I despise that practice, on TV or anywhere. Especially when you specifically want to read the credits. You shouldn't have to play games in order to do so.
