Later on our walk.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jose and Monkey many years ago in Oakland.  We all had a nice meal together.

He was in town to meet with the music director for "Lestat", the musical version by Elton John that died a rather predictable death shortly after it opened on Broadway.

Love the photos of Jane, Jose and Monkey!
Did Jose move out of New York permanently?
I thought he still lived there.

He has been working a show in Milwaukee., and the reason I came now before he leaves near the end of the month.

Will be having Mother's Day luncheon at the club with Butch and Sharon.

A slight deviation from the norm, but one I anticipate.

I am glad you will be with your family.

I believe I was still in Ashland.

Jose ended up playing some keyboards for Lestat on Broadway, which I saw. Though Jose was, if memory serves, not in the pit or the Palace, or even the same building. Some musicians were elsewhere following along via video feed.

DR John G., have you ever made harira (Moroccan lentil and chickpea soup)?

No. But I would in an instant. Sounds great.

Safe Deposit Box vibes for DR JEANNE.  I guess she will just have to wear all of her jewelry until the new box is available.

Billy Porter was great, but there were fewer than 600 people. Part rock concert, part gospel revival, part disco, part Broadway. Lot of parts. Lots of fashion. He did a Kinky Boots section. His tribute to Whitney Houston was a roof-raising version of Home from The Wiz. That song always makes me cry. Tonight was no exception.

I broiled some strip steaks today and made some of DR VIXMOM's famous Air Fryer potatoes to go with them.

Most excellent.
