...However, there were a few unfortunate casualties as of tonight's viewing of Ms. Somers show...  She totally ruined a couple of favorite songs of mine.  And I have a feeling that when those songs pop up at auditions, I may get a case of the giggles... Or my eyes may glaze over.

OH!

And Mr. Joel Grey happened to stop by the audition room today.  He was just working across the hall with his music director and someone else (I think).  He's known Baayork Lee for years - they live across the street from each other.  It was a very brief visit, but a very nice one too.

Holy moley on rye, what a loooong day.  Mixing took longer than we thought, then we had the read-through, then I had to teach Opposites to the second singer, then we had to run to see John Boswell's show at M Bar.  I need to try to find a trivia question, but if I can't we'll skip it this week.

DR Rodzinski, I just listened to a few sound clips of OCEAN BLUE on Amazon.com...they sound very much like the 80s group CHINA CRISIS, have you heard of them?

I have believe I have everything China Crisis ever did. That's a good comparision. The Ocean Blue was an 80s band out of time during the grungy 90s.

I am watching an interesting Richard Kiley film from 1955 on one of the HBOs, believe it or not. THE PHENIX CITY STORY. A weird chapter of history I knew nothing about, this extremely corrupt town in Alabama that was run by these vice rackets for 100 years until people finally rebelled against "the machine."

After 100 years, I would think those people would be too old to do much rebelling.
