TOD
I've started on my HARVEY journey. It won't be every movie in the book, just those that ring my bell for a particular reason (unless I've just recently watched them, which is true in a few cases). But that's still a LOT of movies; like, between 40 and 50. Starting at the beginning, I'm not seeking out Hold That Blonde or The High and the Mighty. I've seen the latter, and I reviewed a few clips online to recall the look and sound of it. But I was anxious to jump into Target Earth which I have on laserdisc and had never watched. I love that old sci-fi stuff, and watching it now was most enjoyable. And then Bad Day at Black Rock - which I've seen "a million times" but not in any recent years, and that was really rewarding. It really is magnificent, and I always forget that it has a powerful score by Andre Previn. That opening titles music, for my taste, takes its place among some of the greatest (as does Previn's Dead Ringer). That man left Hollywood WAY too soon, damn him.
Up next is Mister Roberts, which I don't have here but I think Kristi might, and To Catch a Thief for which it's high time for a viewing anyway.
