Merrick Garland was the lead investigator in that case.

Have a great show, BK!   Hard to believe it's been 5 years since the tribute to Mr. Sherman in Beverly Hills.  That was so much fun!

I have a question for DR George:

You live in Tumwater.

My barber, who lives and works in nearby Edgefield, is from Tumwater.

Brian, my barber, said he and his wife moved from Tumwater four years ago because the state was going to the dogs with excesses of drug usage being permitted by law, and by homeless camps being set up in places that used to be pristine.

He can rant a major rant about your state and how the left-wing politicians have ruined it for every decent citizen.

His sister's family moved to Edgefield a year ago...also from Tumwater.  They both want to move their parents here, too.  But their parents aren't willing to leave their home as of yet.

I would love to get a more objective opinion of the situation from a resident not so -- allow me to say it -- indoctrinated by right-wing extremism.

Well, I don't usually pay attention to a lot, but I don't really know about or have seen any rampant drug use, other than pot, but that hasn't really been "rampant"...in public, at least.

And while there do seem to be more homeless camps in places that can be seen, I think the local law/politicians are trying to either help them as best they can, or move them to places that are more...out of the way. ::)

It's definitely become more prevalent over the years, but I can't imagine feeling that it's so bad that that would be the main reason for me to move to another country.

Lawrence O'Donnell's show was quite good last night.

Among his guests, all of whom are legal experts in Constitutional law, was Professor Lawrence Tribe, professor emeritus at Harvard School of Law.

I have seen Tribe on that show many times over the past years, but last night, he seemed to be a bit more weathered than ever before.  He spoke haltingly, but precisely, and was still quite erudite and cogent.

O'Donnell, after Tribe's comments, asked him how he would grade Jack Smith's performance as a special prosecutor based upon the indictment document and Smith's brief press performance yesterday.

Tribe said that one of the perks of being an "emeritus" was that he no longer had to grade anything...but he said he believed Smith has performed superbly.

I agree.  I watched the show last night, too, and they all thoroughly explained why Jack Smith has done everything right, and how tRump really is up a creek!

I do quordle everyday (it's wordle but with 4 words). But I'm obsessed with quordle sequence. You have to get the first word before you can start on the second. It's my favorite word game.

Enjoy!  That's just too much thinking for me. :P

I miss TCB! I would love to talk about this with him.
There was a cat, Jenny, who was the Titanic’s cat. She had her kittens onboard in Belfast. When they got to the stop that was to head to New York, she took her kittens off the boat and did not go back on.  You can read about her below...or by googling cat on Titanic.

Oh, my goodness!  Smart cat! :o

Ron, I enjoyed reading your political take. I’ve wondered at times what it must be like for you living in a deep red state since your views are clearly on the left. But it sounds like it really isn’t a problem.

I’ve always liked Jerry Brown, as much as anything because he was his own person. Governor Moonbeam? He turned the state round financially. I don’t think many people could have done that.

I follow the work of Emmett Miller, MD. Dr Miller, who I’ve mentioned here before, had a traditional medical practice, but found that his patients would get better, but didn’t stay better. He then changed his practice to one which included meditation and guided imagery, and found more lasting outcomes. For the past few years he’s been doing webinars centered around the Old Paradigm, in which people react emotionally, using their “ monkey brain”, vs the New Paradigm, where critical thinking and rationality are paramount.
