That reminds me of something funny I heard in the news many years ago when i lived in the Bay Area of California.

The Virginia Slims Tennis Tournament was being played at some venue in The City (San Francisco).  Martina Navratilova was playing someone and one of her shots was called "out" by the referee.  Martina said it looked like it was legitimately on the line to her.

The referee told her it was "out by eight inches".

Martina muttered, "Men have been telling women it's 8 inches since the beginning of time."

I have started watching "Tar" on cable.

It's completely not what I was expecting   That was a pleasant surprise.

Haven't gotten to the halfway mark yet.  It got late, and I began yawning.

The PBS channel is running a nice Hawaiian concert. But it’s pledge time, so it’s five minutes of music and 15 minutes of pledge drive. It’s just like MSNBC.
