She sent more than $65,000!

OMG that is horrible.

I know.  She asked my mom to "contribute" and they'd split the winnings, but my mom wouldn't...of course.  My mom also tried to convince the woman that it was a scam, but she wasn't convinced until she was ready to be convinced.

Rehearsal went well....it is a most unusual set & play.

There were some photographs taken, so if any show up, I shall post one here.

Of course the shocking thing about the photographs is how THIN I look.....or maybe it's the opposite.

The set designer of my show in September wants to have a design meeting on Thursday at 6 p.m.

And that is fine with me.

Yes I thought of DR TCB today too when I was watching a submarine report.

Most distressing....I do not anticipate a good ending of this story - but maybe I am wrong.

Ron, I know how difficult it is to go through one’s parents’ things. I recommend not trying to do it all at once, but break it down into pieces and just do a little at a time. I find sorting through old things tedious at best, even without the memories. It’s easier fo me if I know of someone or some place who would use or appreciate the items.

Getting started is the hard part.

This afternoon, someone rang my doorbell.  It was a young man trying to sign folks up for security system and medic alert badges.  He works for a company based in Columbia, about 60 miles from Johnston, but he and co-workers were trying to interest Johnstonians.

We were talking about all sorts of things and it turns out he has been in South Carolina only three weeks.  He relocated here from Washington State.

I told him I knew a guy in Edgefield (my barber) who had moved from Tumwater.  His face lit up and he said he was from Yelm.  He then said I would never have heard of it but that it's about 20 miles from Tumwater.

His dad was in the Army and the last post he had was in Washington State, so that's where his family has lived ever since his dad retired.

I thought it odd that I now know three people from Washington State who lived within 20 miles of one another.

We talked outside by my garage.    It wasn't a hard sales pitch.  He wanted me to know they are reputable, can provide whatever I need, and he gave me his card.

The thermostat is kinda stuck at 82, even though it’s set at 79.

But I am fading.

I do have to start work again.

I wonder how many emails I will have.

Not that I really care.

If it were an emergency, someone else could handle it.

I have a follow-up with the doctor on Thursday.

There wasn’t much pain today.

That was certainly nice.

Falling kinda fell apart toward the end.

I doubt I will rush to read the author’s second book.
