DR George, Chevron is always more expensive everywhere because they add their patented fuel detergent Techron to their gas, which does a better job cleaning the carbon out of your engine.

I shall now be on my way to the theeder - where we get the stage for our rehearsals.....although during the day the kiddies come in so we have to hide all of our props and take all of our furniture off the stage every night.....for the next two weeks.

I am now in episode two of Wives and Daughters. It’s quite close to the novel. At least so far.

Thanks for the info.  I never thought about that, but it is always more than what I want to spend.

Exactly. He’d have been glued to the tube.

Some of these scammers are just awful. There’s one who has called me several times, purporting to be from my doctor’s office. “How are your knees doing?” he asks. I’ve never had trouble with my knees so I knew he was a scammer.

The worst were the ones that starting calling my dad. They said he could win a sweepstakes, or maybe had already won one. They brought him a DVD player ( that didn’t work), a fake designer watch, and several other things. Then they kept hitting him up for more money. He was old and frail at the time and gave it to them. It was really appalling. I tried to find out who they were, but they knew how to protect themselves.

Yesterday was Mammogram Day. Oh, joy. Never a pleasure. Not far into it I had to ask if I could sit down for a few minutes. The technician was very understanding and told me that some patients faint. (I didn’t faint.) After that I was OK. It was negative, as I expected.

I stopped at my favorite food store on the was home and they had several of my favorite treats. I bought the strawberry mousse (sooo good!) and one of their mini apple pies. Everyone deserves a treat after a mammogram.

Men don’t know what they’re missing!

Ron, I know how difficult it is to go through one’s parents’ things. I recommend not trying to do it all at once, but break it down into pieces and just do a little at a time. I find sorting through old things tedious at best, even without the memories. It’s easier fo me if I know of someone or some place who would use or appreciate the items.

I used to have a radio show on the local college community radio station (you didn't need to be a student), so a few times that I'd pick up the call knowing it was spam, the first thing I'd say (and loudly) was, "Hello, you're on the air!"

  Sad, how bad?

Currently 63, which is considered "moderately" dangerous.

While far from good, not scarey bad.

Agreed. Below 50 is considered good. Above 50 can be troublesome for those with asthma or other respiratory ailments, is usually fine for others. They never say at exactly what point things are really unhealthy, but certainly anything above 100. I’d be leery around 70 or 80.
