BK, that's a great story about reconnecting with your cameraman...and about working with Dana Plato.

I slept well. I had one rather funny dream in which my friend - and DR Laura's, too! - Ben Davis appeared, but I remember nothing about it now.

It's been a strange morning, and I am way behind my usual schedule. After working several hours yesterday on ballet number 31, I decided I hated it and tossed out eleven pages of orchestration. I'll begin it fresh today.

BK, I think I've heard you tell the story about Prime Suspect before, but I really love it. Now I want to see the movie.

Rodzinski, the Ed Sullivan clip that BK mentioned of Do Re Mi is fascinating. Nancy Walker is spectacular.

DR George, I thought around ten years ago, Jack the Ripper through DNA was discovered to have been a Soho butcher.

Around 2000, plagiarist nitwit author Patricia Cornwell wrote a book about Jack the Ripper, claiming that she had solved the question of the Ripper's identity. She identified the killer as Walter Sickert, a painter at the time. She's now written a second book, Sickert, about the killer. Well, she's a liar: around 1975 British author Stephen Knight wrote Jack the Ripper: the Final Solution, naming - guess who? - Walter Sickert as the killer in association with Queen Victoria's surgeon and the Masons to stop the news of one of the royal prince's marriage and child with one of Sickert's models! This meant tracking down the wife and her witnesses at the wedding to silence them.

This royal scandal was the basis for Bob Clark's wonderful film Murder by Decree.

DR Rodzinsky, I have seen a third-rate off-Broadway mounting of Do-Re-Mi, which was pretty bad. I think it was originally a second-rate show with a first-rate score and cast, and the production I saw did nothing to make it look like a prize.

;) Is that it, DR Singdaw?  Three posts and then out the door?

I hope you get that carbonation machine replaced really soon.  You're running out of ... gas.

I slept very well but my dreams were wonky.

Not willy wonky, either.

The last one, however, floored me.

I was in what I thought to be my house and i had an open door.  A ady wearing a hat approached the door, smiling in at me.  She reminded me of Beah Richards.

I said hello, beckoned her to come in, and then I asked "How may I help you?"

She smiled and then replied: "I've come to kill you."

She then walked into another room.  A friend came in and asked what I was up to.  I told him about the lady.  He said "What lady?"

I pointed toward the room she walked into.

"There's no one there", he claimed.

I woke up.

How often do you get to say that sentence?

To completely change the subject, I wonder who wrote the copy for the "Bonnie and Clyd" ads that read:

"They're young...they're in love...and they kill people."

I remember it was quite a controversial ad at that time...at least in the wilds of North and South Carolina.

It beats the hell out of the alternative (opposite) sentiment!

But I found the Ed Sullivan clips, and I'm sad to say that I found what I saw...   annoying.
