Went to the WalMart, the doctor's office to ask why CVS was still sending me prescription notices when I have banished them from my life, then to Dollar Tree+ and then Goodwill.

It was nice to walk around the stores and see what was up.

Only one person asked WHY? I was tempted to tell him - because you're a terrible actor, you're extremely overweight and have awful posture, and when I asked you to read pages 93 and 94 you said you preferred to read pages 91 and 92.

Instead I said that the part really needed an actor with more experience than one of the prisoners in My Three Angles.

Denny Clark has come and gone...my yard is mown, the edges are trimmed, the detritus has been blown away.

Yard now needs attention from my other yard man, Lamar Livingston and his brother. Shrubs are vastly overgrown and need serious trimming. Denny doesn't do that, but Lamar does.

I have become more circumspect in my "maturity".

I know that silence is the best retort to incivility. It loses something in the written word because it's a look and a move to ignore the person that speaks volumes when words are left unsaid.

Can't do that in writing. I generally say something like "Sorry. I thought you were seeking honest opinions."

One guy, on a topic of how a film makes me feel, challenged me by asking what film making courses I had taken and from what universities. I told him that I had been watching and studying film for more than 60 years. I asked him what more did I need to do to express how I felt about a particular movie.

Crickets is what I usually get.
