Hated Last Tango too. But I love Cries snd Whispers. Very depressing though.

John, I understand why one would love Cries and Whispers. There is much to admire and appreciate.
It was way too painful and depressing for me, and one particular scene gave me nightmares for months.

Beautifully filmed, however.

It was a horror movie in the truest sense. Stayed with me a long time. Made me dislike red for a while too.
