John G., I posted about your garden last night, but very late, so you may not have seen it.

I hope that it will thrive again once the temperatures drop.

Amazingly the Banyan Tree, as well as the benches, are still standing.  Only time will tell if it survives being scorched.

Sorry to hear of Tom Jones' death. He was a dear man, and I once spent many happy hours with Tom, Janet, and their two boys, Sam and Michael, in their apartment on West 107th Street. Janet died tragically aroud ten years ago, and as far as I know, Tom was living alone in Connecticut. I do hope he did not die alone. I loved him and Harvey.

VERY hot and humid today in Maryland.

I had started a garden of herbs from seed a month ago. It was doing so well….parsley, dill, chives, cilantro, mint….everything was growing, and the fresh herbs were delicious.

Today they are brown and crisp. Don’t think they can be salvaged, but will try.

I am sorry about your garden.  Stay cool.

I had not heard about Sony’s 360 Audio Reality.

Has anyone here listened yet?

“ I've listened to portions of these new "360" remasters on Amazon Music through good headphones, and am able to hear details in the orchestrations that I couldn't hear before.”

An opinion posted on All That Chat.

I am intrigued.

I read that the roots reach deeply underground, and that the tree may survive.
Still, it was over 100 years old, so if it does come back, it will take a very long time. 😢

Yes, sadly, finally confirmed. I wish I had met him years ago, and that I'd met Harvey as well. I do (see what I did there?) have my one wonderful meeting with him to always remember and cherish.

There is a FB group called "Episcopal Cats with Problems"!

So far, it's a hoot.

BK, does your brother live in Hawaii?

I seem to recall you saying that, but not sure how long ago.

If so, which island?
