It seems the folks that need to be outraged about a new thing each day have settled on Bradley Cooper's fake nose (the makeup for playing Leonard Bernstein).

Even though all three of Bernstein's children are totally okay with it!

Oh goodness, I read that yesterday.  I understand it would be nice if a Jewish actor played him, however, complaining makeup was used to add the nose

Then there are those yelling Sandra Bullock should return her Oscar because of the discord between the people Blind Side is based on

Michael Oher who starred in the film with her has come out in her defense, but why should it even be necessary.

Kristen Bell & her husband Dax Shepard shared a story of being stranded at the Boston airport with no available hotels within 50 miles.  Lots of flights had been cancelled & others booked rooms before they could.  I think the funny part is the outrageous amount they spent on pillows and bedding to sleep at the airport, but then they got kicked out of the airport along with other stranded travelers.

A friend of a friend did end up taking them in.

Leo was a lab cat who was intended to be "experimented" upon, primarily hius eyes as I recall. The original intention, which still goes on, was to torture and maim the cat with experiments and tests, then euthanize it. Leo was rescued, got a book written about hm, and lived a long life. This is his photo from a couple of years go.

My memory of the book is that the proceeds go to animal rescue.

Horrible, and I'm sure it goes on. I take comfort in Leo's rescue and good life afterward.

Harmless story they shared, along with pics of them hanging out at the airport.
Yet stupid hateful comments were made against them, including saying they lied about the lack of hotel rooms.

Shepard couldn't understand why anyone would be mad about that story.

I liked Bell's responses.

"A lot of people just get on the internet and they say, 'Buddy, what should I Google?' And they just Google angry, mad stuff. They want to be angry about something,"

"You're not taking into consideration that it could be one person that has 80 accounts. I think we’re giving it too much thought. Also there are people that are unhappy. Humans desire an 'us' and 'them.' It's in our software. We have to fight it all the time. And lately, people are just arbitrarily choosing the 'us' and 'them,"

This afternoon I indulged in the first Wendy's burger I've had in a few years. I might have stopped there once since the lockdown, so this would be my second one since. But I used to eat tons of Wendy's burgers. Tons of them.

Anyhoo, it was good. I ordered it with the same things I always did, and it tasted just like old times. That's all one can ask, right? The fries were a little bland, with way too little salt. I know some places try to go easier on the salt than in past years, but I don't go there for my health, and a little more flavor would have been welcome. The Coke was just fine.

They are!  In the world of fast food fries, nothing yet has matched them, that' I'm aware of.

Today we got Prevnar 20 vaccinations for pneumonia.

They are now recommended for those over 65 on top of the other vaccinations we had for pneumonia.

We learned about it when I was suffering with my chronic cough and waited until I was better to get vaccinated. 

[Jane]

I still have a chronic cough but it is a slight one, back to my normal chronic cough vs constantly having coughing attacks.
