For the first time in three years, the state is no longer under "extreme drought" conditions.

And, happily, no California deaths have been attributed to Hurricane Hilary, which did not impact that state in any way that was feared.

Last night I watched most of the first act of the Scottish Candide that DR ELMORE wrote about yesterday.

I enjoyed it.....although everybody seemed too OLD for their parts....but maybe not from way out in the audience.

Today is a ME day....and it is HOT. We have a heat advisory for most of the state.
