Sherman Oaks BofA - shorter line but two tellers and several idiots who have nothing better to do than spend their day at the bank. The problem, of course, is that Monday is a holiday so everyone piles on today.

Wanted Subway for lunch but I wasn't near any branches so I went to order online. Well, turns out the Subway they deliver from has online prices that differ wildly from store prices - I'm talking like four or five bucks higher for the delivery services. They have the 30% off before five thing but even then it costs way more than getting it at the store. So, I'll do Subway tomorrow. Today is Charley's Cheesesteaks. Two small ones - total calories, under 1000.

I will be having a green salad for dinner, so I don't want anyone worring about my intake of carbs, etc.

Good :)

Cashed the check - in and out in four minutes.

Good.

We found out today that a neighbor had a heart attack and is in ICU.  His wife said she dialed 911, and then had to figure out the proper way to make the call from her iPhone.

I knew there was an SOS option on my cell phone but didn't realized I couldn't dial 911.

To get to that screen I need to simultaneously press a button on each side of my phone which I find awkward.

Keith only has to hold down a button on the right side of his phone until his screen pops up, so much easier.

On the other hand, I have a quick link to my medical emergency info that he doesn't have.  I'm going to do a search and find out where it is on his phone.

Basically all I can find is information on how to add emergency info to an android phone, not how to retrieve the information on a locked phone.

Wow!  They really want to make things as difficult as possible in an emergency, don't they?? :o

Good afternoon!   It's been a non-stop day.  We had a minimum day - which I taught the entire morning.  Then we had a 2 hour in-service we had to attend, which I give maybe a 3/5.  It didn't suck, but it was like "WOW" either.  I'm now home.  The boys went to camp today (instead of Thursday) so they will be out of if all evening.  I have some things to do and then I'm done for the day.  Not sure what's up for the evening.  Tomorrow is laundry day and then going to visit some pals across the bay.

"Across the bay" sounds so poetic.

The machinery has begun to turn: this afternoon the publisher asked for my final draft of Annabelle & Thatch.

It talks about the importance of libraries and not banning books, and while not my library system there is a story of another library in danger.
