Petite Maman is amazing, one of the best movies I’ve seen in years. And even though it’s about grief, it is not a depressing film.

Watching an animated film on the Petite Maman disc called Ma Vie de Courgette/My Life as a Zucchini. It’s sweet and sad.

Also, on John's BBC Proms broadcast, the Laurie is my friend Scarlett Strallen, who was in the Encores! production and recording of The New Yorkers.

She was very good.  Thanks for the info, Larry.  John Wilso has always impressed me.  He has done "Oklahoma" selections before with Julian Overnden, by Hackmann's voice blows Ovendens away.

It's always amazing when you hear about these (extremely fortunate) near misses on 9/11.

Do you personally know other people who had a 911 near miss?

My brother was heading to the towers for a meeting but realized he needed something from his midtown office and stopped there first , while there he was further delayed by a phone call.

He told his assistant he was leaving and she said don’t , it’s just been hit by a plane.

My cousin was scheduled to fly out for a job interview .  He received a call the night of 9/10 telling him they’d offered the job to someone else.

He was very disappointed.

He cancelled his flight on the plane that creased into the Pentagon.

OMG I just sang that in my head…boy those commercials were insidious!

Disney is coming up with a 100-disc set of their films for a mere $1,500.

I’ve started listening to the first novel that the show The Larkins is based on. It’s really a novella ( novella—my ASS). The spirit is the same, but the details are very different.
