I am conducting a little test. I purchased some plastic storage containers online last week. They came in a large box. We are supposed to put cardboard boxes in the recycling bin, but I am unable to hold the lid of the bin up with one hand and still get the large, broken down boxes into the bin with my remaining hand. I don’t have enough hands. I could wait until Tuesday and hope that the gardener is here at the same time I am, or I could ask Mr OCD for help. Instead I did what I used to do, which is to put the boxes next to the recycling bin and let the gardener take care of it, which is his job and he is happy to do. This worked fine for a couple years until Mr OCD had a conniption because the boxes weren’t IN the bin. We shall see how long it takes for him to bang on my door or put a notice on the bins that I hadn’t followed regulations or simply put them into the bins himself.
