I am going to try to re-read the "Kritzer" trilogy before beginning the new one.

I was thinking about doing that, too! I still have Preview Harvey waiting on me as well.

All my books are packed, including the Kritzer trilogy.

  Hot and clammy.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I’m pleased to hear that your new AC unit is in place.

You won’t be charged for it, will you?

I did laundry on my birthday, as well, DR elmore3003, so you are in good company.

I’ve done laundry on my birthday many times, also on Christmas and NY day. Laundry waits for no one. Or something like that.

John Owen Edwards, who conducted the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company in all the Gilbert & Sullivan operas and coducted on London's West End, sent me a lovely birthday message:
John Owen Edwards
Hi Larry - I have been meaning to message you for a few days and your birthday has given me the kick up the arse to do it! So, firstly; a very happy birthday to you and I hope you have a gloriously indulgent day... secondly, since John Yap has been rejigging some of our recordings, I decided to listen to the ones we did - most of which I haven't heard since the day they came out. I was delighted to hear so much of your work again. Everything you did  was always in perfect style and more than that, executed with wit and elegance. You also made the orchestral parts so interesting and fun to play. The orchestra always enjoyed them! So thank you so much for your great work - I am so pleased I was able to conduct a few examples, and may your next 77 years be even better than the last! With love from a very rainy Oxcfordshire, J. x

How nice of him to take the time to say this.

I'd ordered food for today last night - it didn't arrive so I looked for the order and it was cancelled because the restaurant decided they didn't need to do orders today. Well, buh bye. Of course, I was charged immediately and while it's "pending" PayPal takes the money right away and the "pending" won't fall off for another couple of days. Just ordered fried catfish instead with a 50% off thing.

I’ve never heard of such a thing. Harrrummph!

Yes, that's the LACC Theater building and enjoy looking at it while you can, since it will be demolished in the near future.
