I like the show and the score, but I'm not so sure about their "concept."

I like the show and the score, but I'm not so sure about their "concept."

It really is about the score. If it's sung well, the story will come out. The original production did what it needed to do at the time. I think the concept is interesting. I liken it to the John Doyle Sweeney Todd (except no one is playing instruments here - that's already been done!). Also - there seems to be a good sized orchestra in the pit, which is REALLY exciting and I can't believe ALW would let them change anything either.

(I'm passionate about this show, can you tell? LOL)

I just cut up an ASS-load of corrugated shipping boxes for the recycling bin: Amazon boxes, boxes that some shelves came in, even a small chair, you name it.

I saw that Sweeney Todd on tour. It was awful.

This looks like that new concept version of Oklahoma! Which was also awful.
