Mike came home about an hour ago.
Went down to see Mike and my youngest brother David and his wife were there along with my nephew Zane and his wife.....so I just stayed a minute or two.
My mother in law had a few good weeks in the new place after her move, but she is currently in the hospital and is going to be discharged to hospice care by the weekend. She is 91. Given her current quality of life, I don't expect that she wishes to linger much longer.
Meanwhile, my aunt on the east coast, who is also 91, is in a rehab facility after having her leg reinserted back into her hip bone. She is depressed and not in a good way. My mother, her sister, is her primary caregiver once she is released.
Getting old ain't for the faint of heart.
