Well, you've read the notes, the notes were posted in the tenth month, and now it is time for you to post until the ten cows come home.

I really wanted to sleep until eleven, which would have been eight hours, but alas the mind is alive with the sound of ABS (Active Brain Syndrome), basically about the set design - I'm completely rethinking what I originally wanted - not completely but just revising it to create more space and no danger for our older cast members. The concept remains the same.

From DR Singdaw:

Quote
Today, at mid-day, my mother-in-law was transferred by ambulance from the hospital to home hospice care at the home of one of her sons.

I'm glad she was in the comfort of her family when she passed.

The cut-up for the old t-shirt is interesting.  Sherlock was big enough we simply put one of my t-shirts on him ;D

I've only ever used a cone once.  To the shock of the vet, she pulled it off.  Fortunately this extremely intelligent dog knew to leave the stitches alone.

From DR Jrand:

When I was a wee tyke - my grandparents would give us all of their old Readers Digest magazines.

I liked some of the articles but especially the little anecdotes.

DR JANE's story about the birthday card reminded me of this one:

I am glad I reminded you of the Readers Digest little anecdotes :)

From Jrand:

Quote
A woman realized on December 16, that she had neither purchased nor mailed any Christmas cards.

She rushed to the store and bought three packages of the only cards they had left.

She hurriedly signed them, addressed the envelopes, and rushed them to the post office.

She was feeling very good about her accomplishment until she picked up the one card left and read it:

This little card is just to say -

[Inside]:

A gift you'll love is on the way!

LOL, I'm glad my card story had a better ending.

Once home the birthday girl returned home and opened the second gift, a Squishmallow Squish Hooded Throw,  she liked it.

I personally think 9th grade is too young for high school.

My middle school was 7th and 8th grade, and high school was 9th through 12th.

As far as I know, that's the way it's always been around here.

In Canada where the kids go, it’s K-7. Then 8-12 is secondary school. (Except there is a province where kids went to 13th grade, but I guess that has been phased out.)

Yesterday we had a lunch with an old friend of my mother in law who has convinced me to be in a fashion show she is putting together for her retirement community. Should be fun.

Then we planned to go to Costco but the border waits were long, so we went around to a more rural border then figured we’d eat at our fave spot in Bellingham. That was fine but it turned out Costco closes at 6 on Sat. Is that common? So we did our damage at Fred Meier instead.

This is a three-day weekend in Canada for a Day of Reconciliation to reflect on and atone for the native kids that were stolen from their families.

Now it is middle school most places, for me it was Jr. High which was 7th through 9th grade.

Wow, those are big schools, or fewer students making them not so big.

I found this online:

"Why does Costco close at 6 on Saturday?
Costco has to smooth out there shift resources. Closing earlier than most stores on the weekends not only limits costs due to shift differential but forces people to shop on weekdays after work. This helps to smoothout the inventory flow while saving on labor."
