DR Laura, when I took my break to lie down and watch The Young and the Restless, Thatch crawled onto my lap and proceeded to nap for an hour. You can see my feet at the end of hte bed. Your prediction of 2018 came true.

Awww. I'm so glad Thatch turned out to be loving.  It took Joshie a couple of years before he decided to be devoted to me. I still really miss him.

Leonard mostly ignores me. He will decide when to love me, and then he is insistent that I put everything away so he can sit on my lap. He walked across my lap, steps up to the arm of the sofa, repeat a couple of times, before he will settle down and sit.  And then suddenly he will just get up and walk away and ignore me again.

I asked my DH if there was a new Diamondback baseball player who just appeared out of nowhere. Because our mediocre team is going to the World Series. Someone must have sold his soul to the devil.

One thing I hadn't yet remembered to do when re-setting up a computer is disabling autocorrect, and it was driving me nuts. So I think I've got it turned off now. I've unchecked the three things it so badly wanted to do for me:  correct spelling (I was getting wholly different words), capitalize words automatically, and and a period after any double-space. No thank YOU, sir!

DR VIXMOM from my sister's description - and now another sister is also doing it.....

You post questions to AI/Chat GPT devices and then grade them on how "human" or "real" the responses are......

Are you considering doing it?

So that explains why my Phillies lost ;)

On This Day in 1955, the first domestic microwave ovens went on sale to the public.

Here in the Washington DC area we're expecting a temperature of 83 on Saturday.  Crazy late October weather!

The car is in the shop for the hail damage and should be done sometime next week. The cost estimate has blossomed to $10,000. Fortunately, all covered by insurance after the deductible.

I didn't know anyone back then who had a microwave oven.

The earliest I ever saw a microwave oven in someone else's house was when I was a senior in high school ('83-'84 school year).  I don't remember when my parents got one.
