Finished THE FORGOTTEN, and in the main I enjoyed it. Yes, I wasn't fooled by one of the characters at all (won't name the character or actor for fear of ruining it for someone else), but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I jumped out of my seat at least three times during the fairly short running time of this movie. Overall, I'm not sorry I watched it.

What do you want to bet that tonight's MONK episode, "Mr. Monk and Mrs. Monk," will be Tony Shalhoub's Emmy submission for next year's Emmys. I don't know what he submitted for the awards that will be given out next month, but this episode let him laugh, be giddy, cry, be devastated, and pretty much run the entire gamut. He'd be foolish not to use it to garner himself another award next year.

Sadly, I didn't get to any more THIN MAN movies today, perhaps tomorrow.

Instead, tonight I had to do that most despised of all rituals at my house, mopping the kitchen floor.

I also think I've gotten to the point where I have seen every GREEN HORNET episode that was made. The last two I've had recorded were episodes I had seen, so I guess I've done the entire loop of shows. I'll record another couple of weekends, but I think I've seen them all.

According to my reference books, 26 episodes were filmed for the show.

When we do a Friday media check, why isn't print media included, such as novels and such?

The El Portal is in the NoHo arts district - lots of theaters, but a bit off the beaten track.  The theater was a grand movie palace in its day.  We're not in the space where they did the 70 Girls 70 concert, that's their big theater - seats 350.  We're in their smaller 99 seat space, which shares the same lobby and the same good vibe.

No stairs to climb, so easier for older folks.  And the lobby is gorgeous, as is the forecourt and the marquee.  Plus, I like being wanted.  We're meeting about it tomorrow, but a lot will depend on what the set designer says, which I won't know until he calls me and we make arrangements to meet.

It seems like forever since I have been able to sit down and watch one of my Bollywood movies...but I shall make up for that this weekend...and here are my Bollywood picks...a couple of heartwarming family films.

EHSAAS (2001) Starring one of my favorite actors Sunil Shetty.

Sunil plays a father who pushes his young son to become a track star. Unfortunately, the son has no interest in being a track star.

Good Evening!

Yes, I am to blame for everything.  In fact, while talking with the director before rehearsal, he joked that one of the issues we're still working through was "all your fault".   And then I had to ask him if he had been lurking on HHW.  He hasn't.  So...

Today was a long day.  And after rehearsal, I headed out to dinner and drinks with some of the team.  And then a bit later, we met up some more of team... And I had a few more drinks.   And now, I'm very drowsy.  -And, yes, I know, I have no one to blame but myself.

And, now, I really just want to put my head to my pillow and get some sleep.  I did read all of today's post (so far), and I shall respond come morning.

Goodnight,

Good non=smoking vibes to DRCILLALIZ.

Great BeeGee photos.  Nice doggie.

PIPPIN survived its sophomore performance with a fine audience and only one serious error.  Someone forgot to let Berthe's drop down until nearly the END of her song.....fatal.....  But after my talk with the stage manager after the show, I doubt that it will happen again.  It was especially interesting since I KNOW that the PERSON who made the mistake happened to be standing with us, but didn't bother to speak up and say "sorry" "kiss my foot or HAVE an apple..."  I have my EYE on you!  Same stupid person who didn't hand out the tambourines for the finale one night.  Not a bit of remorse and a word of apology.....cavalier is not the word for the attitude.  "Don't care" or "who cares" is more like it.

But enough about that.

I watched JOHNNY BELINDA tonight.  I only saw it once.....MANY years ago and remember it being sad sad sad.  But tonight I see Agnes Moorehead, Jan Sterling, and Charles Bickford in great roles....and hear a great score and of course Jane Wyman is wonderful.  A rediscovery for me!

I say if you can go AFTER the holidays....do it.  Unless you have a Christmas theme show, you will be dead in the water in December.
