Sad but it seemed as if it was time.  And now Jimmy can let go to be with her.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We’ve put in a good 4 hours on moving prep and are now taking a lunch break.  When we’re finished, we’ll go out to the house with some more hand-carry items.

Will the movers be able to move and unload all in one day?

It’s a 2-day move, DR Jane.  Furniture tomorrow, boxes and small stuff Tuesday.  We’re in good shape, furniture-wise, but there are still a few more boxes to pack.  We may end up DIYing some of that throughout the holiday weekend.

And, because Richard just told me to, I’m going out to dinner with my (and DR Elmore’s) friend Andrea.  She lives in Atlanta and is in town tonight.

Rosalyn Carter has died. Gentle, solid woman. She was 96.

I really admire her and Jimmy.

I just had an hour phone call with a high school student who was told to contact me as a curator of the John McGlinn concert bootlegs. I will be sending him mp3 files of various McGlinn concerts of shows written between 1900 and 1940.

That's pretty cool.

I'd heard that as I was driving to the theater.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but the shirt has two pockets.

She did leave Facebook and I told her I miss her there.  She asked about you, but I didn’t go anywhere near the subject of politics.

There’s that, plus I liked the option of being able to fiddle with furniture placement without boxes in the way.

Food comedy today. I really wanted a decent meal and not the usual stuff I order. So, I ordered from a Japanese jernt I like and used to go to in Hollywood - that location closed several years ago and I've never tried the others. I ordered hibachi rice and the teriyaki chicken/tempura combo lunch special about thirty minutes after I got up. I knew it was a one-hour delivery, as it's in Burbank. The one hour turned into ninety minutes because he had another delivery elsewhere. Then he finally got here, no doorbell ring but I'd been tracking him via the DoorDash site. I bring the bag in the house to discover a lot of food that I did not order. Then looked at the name on the outside of the bag - Kristopher. So, I'm sure this idiot driver gave Kristopher my bag and me his.

Ninety minutes to get the wrong order. And every item in the bag was stuff I would never EVER eat. So, I went to the site and was refunded my money as a credit instantly. But that wasn't going to cut it because the lunch specials were no longer available and everything was now more expensive. So, I got a guy on their live chat - he, as they all do, said I'd been refunded and there was nothing he could do. I told him that was not acceptable, given that it was the driver's fault, not mine nor the restaurant's, and explained the lunch thing not being available anymore. He said sorry. I told him to get a supervisor and have him call me asap. All of a sudden, magically, he was able to credit me another ten dollars.

So, I went to reorder, even though it was going to be another hour, but the lunch special thing I wanted isn't available for dinner. At that point, I'd had it, so I ordered my Eyetalian salad from CPK. I texted the guy in the back house and offered him the wrong order, which he took. The salad came about fifteen minutes later and was very good but NOT what I really wanted and not really enough food for an entire day.
