I think I failed the written test when I went to get my learner’s permit. And I failed the driving test during parallel parking on my first attempt to get a license. Not happy memories.

In my most recent BMV experience - I was getting a new title for Smarty.

So my uncle had signed his title and wrote GIFT on the price line. I had stopped at the insurance place and got insurance for it [my uncle still had insurance on it until I canceled it a few days later].

I got there and got my number.....something like 36.

I sat down and was looking all around to see what I could see.

One of the ladies behind the counter called: "35!" I jumped up and yelled "Bingo!" And then I realized it was not my number.

She called the number again......no one said anything. I was looking at her and got all excited. She called the number again.....no one.

Then she looked right at me and called MY NUMBER. I jumped up and said "ME!"

Everyone applauded and I was the star of the BMV that day.

Oh, and I got my temp title.....and the real one was mailed to me a week later.

Got on the site. The "get in line" option is good on Thursday but you can't use it until nine. So, I'll go back online at nine and try it.
