Okay, let's try this again.

They are wonderful machines. But as a lifelong Windows user, I can say truthfully that - now having used a MacBook (which I love, don't get me wrong) for a few years - things that must be done "The Apple Way" pop up all the time that still blow my mind, causing me to shake my fist and making me want to bring it down on Steve Jobs' head just as soon as we get him reanimated enough to feel it.

Well I will ask.

How many HHW'ers are Windows folks and how many are iMac folks?

My sister in law wants to sell a hardly used 2017 iMac Pro and it is a good price.....I am thinking about buying it, but aside from a couple of years at work.....I have never used a MAC.

Are they hard to get used to?

I am a dedicated Windows user.

Bruce, I am sorry you had to cancel the Do, and that the Darling Daughter will not be there for Christmas.  Chances are January will be a nicer visit when you are feeling better and she isn't suffering from jet-lag.

Just spoke with Mom. She got the good news that a ninth great-great-grandchild is coming in April or May.

Congratulations.

Not much older than I was in the photo from last night, I began to be part of Keith's family.  They were all very good to me.  By the time we were married I was introduced as daughter, niece, cousin vs simply Keith's wife.

Yesterday Keith's 89 year old aunt, the much younger sister of his mother, died.  She was the last of our aunts and uncles between us. The ending was long and sad and I was already missing conversations with her and sharing book recommendations.

Yes DR ELMORE, I am hoping DR JOHN G got 7.5 lbs of Chex Mix.

It was actually 2.5 pounds. Felt like 75 when hauling it into the cart.

Me, too.   I bought an Apple laptop earlier this year...and it sits unused because it is so difficult to figure out.   I know I can probably watch a video on how to use it, but....

I was trying to imagine 75 pounds...and couldn't even imagine 7.5 pounds.

Happily, you're still doing well with 2.5 lbs.

I know the feeling.  I have only cousins now.  The memories of our family are scattered among the cousins.  We are discussing a get-together in spring or early summer to compare notes and things like that.

I am almost ready to leave for my cousin Debra's house.  She is home alone this afternoon, and family will arrive around 4:30 or 5 with dinner at 5:30 or 6.

There is a bit of drama, which doesn't bear going into.  Suffice it to say that one of my male cousins may not be "allowed" by his wife to bring his two daughters to his mom's house.  The wife refuses to go.

My approach to this situation is strictly in my head, but if they were MY daughters, they'd by golly go wherever I wanted them to go.
