Only for that??? :-[ ;)

(Ahhh, at last someone who does not go after BIG things!-- TCB, take it away!) ;D

TCB, when he reads this far, will STILL have MBarnum's appliance repairman post spinning wildly in his head.  It was just too good...and could be repeated in several ways with one word edited here...and one word edited there...and all equally worthy of TCB comments!!

"Waffle". It is pronounced "Woffle" in OZ. (Is it the same in North America?)

I think a song should be written, in the spirit of the song that has as a verse, "I've Come to Wive it Wealthily in Padua"....

...and it should contain, "I'll merrily marry Mary!"

Oh, and Princesses would like to think of itself as a family musical.  I guess it's wonderful to have young girls talk about waxing the inside of their rear end.  That's just the height of wit and sophistication.

I must have somehow missed that lyric last week!  In my opinion, the "questionable" lines (for ages 13 and up) could be counted on one hand, and I didn't think it too far out there to call it a family musical.  Not for the little little ones, perhaps, but...

DRTomovoz, I know I do, and I'm grateful for everyone of you on HHW who help keep me sane.  And you are loved back.  All of you.

I wanted to say that DRTomovoz has sent me the new Anthony Warlow-David Hobson CD and I hope to listen to it tomorrow.  I love Victorian Parlour songs!

Tomorrow??? TOMORROW???
You have to listen to it NOW, I say!!

When I got Mr Haines cd... I stopped everything and listened to it right there and then!

Where are your priorities????

--- Humm, sorry for that! I think I should calm down. It's 3:22 am here after all... and the Italians (Oh, a Do I Hear (the Italians???) A Waltz reference) are... quiet! --- ;)

Summer 1976. (Winter here). I moved in with DP Colin on July 1st 1976. Who said it wouldn't work?

Is Michel Legrand working on a theme song in commemoration?

(Please, don't hate me!)

Question for the musicians out there.

The opening themes of "Sunset Boulevard" always seem to be going to morph into Rachminoff's Piano Concerto #2.

I know ALW is prone to steal from composers but I usually just have the "familiar" link and don't know the source. Is it just my "ear" that hears the Rachmaninoff connection.

Hello td. Mr Campbell gave Joe some humour and light. Not just the acidic "wit" of the Hollywood wannabes.  He really delivered lines with a complete freshness. IMHO - a great talent. I just wish he'd leave the pop stuff alone!!

BTW - For the non musicians like myself - the Rachmaninoff is "Full Moon and Empty Arms".

I don't know Rachmaninoff's stuff...other than the quote in the original "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." ;)

"All By Myself" and "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again" - Eric Carmen - are both Rachmaninoff melodies. DR George.

"Full Moon..." sounds like some "cheap porn" DR elmore would be watching!

"Full Moan..." too! :o
