Yesterday I had a meeting about the ballet discussion before the screening of the ballet on Friday. The logistics of getting on and off the stage before the screening and getting myself into a seat have me petrified, and I am sorry I agreed to participate in it. I'd be much more comfortable sitting at home watching it on my computer. Still, there's no backing out now, so what happens happens.

All will be fine. Did you ever fix the Charleston?

And now for something completely different!

I have just seen a news report and video of the collapse of the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore.  A cargo ship caused the collapse.  Cars plunged into the bay. Seven people are missing.  Two were recoverd, one of them in critical condition.

I remember a ‘70s Treasure Hunt hosted by Geoff Edwards. It was horrible.

"The Gong Show" discovered some people who went on to good careers.

The first I was aware of was Cheryl Lynn who had a big hit with "Got to Be Real."

"This is Your Life" was interesting only in terms of who they brought out to surprise the unsuspecting (??) guest.  A lot of the shows seemed phony to me.

By phony, do you mean it felt like the subjects of the show knew in advance they were going to be honored?

Yes, and sometimes that they were glad to see old faces from their past.

I had a good zoom with my new tax accountant. I'm getting a nice bundle of cash back, so I'm very pleased.

I thought Queen for a Day with its sob stories and miseries was quite funny. Can you top my horrible life?

I loved You Are there, and I remember how much I liked Omnibus, which I believe was on Sundays.

I'm watching news and video of the Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsing after being struck by a container ship leaving port.

I just read about that, apparently at least 7 cars fell in the river, I haven’t heard about casualties yet

I thought of DR Iris when I saw the news.

DR VIXMOM I think you are thinking of Let's Make A Deal with Monty Hall.

Bob Barker was on Truth or Consequences......

DEAL is still on in the morning but it is hard to watch......

QUEEN FOR A DAY was very sad.....and the audience voting which of the contestants was the most pitiful was horrifying.....and Jack Bailey was even more smarmy than Ralph Edwards....from the Moulin Rouge in Hollywood!!!!

My sister and I loved QUEEN FOR A DAY.  In my defense we were young ;D

I had a rough night and sitting at my computer isn't doing me any favors.  I probably won't be back until much later today.

Just kidding.  :)  No one would do that to you without your being part of planning it!

I spoke to Tiffany at the NYTPL. There is a wheelchair, and she will wheel me on and off stage. That's a relief.

I won't know until I hear it on Friday night. The changes were given to the orchestra. I suspect I will rewrite it after this run.

Got a new Lang Lang2-CD set from the library. The first is all Camille Saint-Saens. The second is Saint-Saens and contemporaries, including several women composers. Lovely stuff.
