I suspect he's been drinking for some time as he is loudly abd profanely explaining to the world at large just how much he is looking forward to his chosen entertainment for the day.

Don’t sit next to him, DR Vixmom!

We have been informed, many, many times,  this is where he intends to debark.

We took a train once from Bloomington, IL, into Chicago for ALA.  It was the day of the celebration for the Black Hawks’ Stanley Cup victory and the train was full of fans.

Thanks DR George for the paper tech explanation. It's interesting to hear these things from a stage manager perspective. When I hear "tech rehearsal" I think of fun things like cue-to-cue.

Is he off the train yet?

I once attended a conference at Indiana University and we got a tour of the main theater. I recall that the backstage and wings are all the same size as the main stage. And of course their main stage is far larger than our little stage. Heck, at our theater you have to go outside to cross.

After a very long wait, Hard by a Great Forest by Leo Vardiashvili, the book I accidentally returned to the library is finally mine to read again :)

Luckily, that gentleman on the train had his tickets for Manhattan Theatre Club for another day.

This brings to mind the song from The Roches, containing the line:

Once you get on
You might never get off
Of the commuter train.

I wonder if, as we get older, the dreams get weirder.

I wish I weren't tech challenged. I've never been able to figure out how to "cast" from my phone to the TV. Then, I could watch the ballet on the big screen.

The ballet was the perfect antidote to how Richard and I had spent the afternoon.  We attended the “Tennebrae” conducted by our community’s chaplain.  Now, I’m fully aware that Good Friday is not supposed to be festive, but this was especially depressing.  Most of the other attendees were from the assisted living and memory care units, including 3 women we knew 30-40-50 years ago who didn’t recognize us yesterday  :'(

:(  I'm sorry.

You sure are, DR Jrand73. You and DR Ginny, both. Put yer special safety specs on, and enjoy.

Indeed we are!  We have probably the most expensive eclipse glasses ever because they were gifted to us by the firm where we invested our recent real estate proceeds 😎

Followed by whoops and applause.
