If this ballet doesn't lead to more productions and more work offers for DR elmore3003, there is no justice.

I thought the orchestra played their best tonight.

I thought the orchestra played their best tonight.

It was fun hearing things (like the violin solo) that you had talked about here, and the struggles and challenges along the way.

I am intrigued by the whole approach of re-imagining work that has become problematic in one way or another.

Now I am curious to go listen to a recording of the traditional version, for contrast.

iTunes has a version by the English Chamber Orchestra under Richard Bonynge and a version by The Evergreen Symphony Orchestra.

Thanks for inviting us along this weekend, DR Elmore!  Now I have to do something other than stare at my iPad screen - ‘night!

Went two-stepping tonight at the Cowboys Dance Hall, a country-western joint fairly close to my house. It was loud and obnoxious.

Lots of lesbian couples out there and at least one gay couple. That was nice to see.

Due to a series of unfortunate events which I don't care to discuss I missed the live broadcast tonight.

I will have go look for the archived footage on YouTube

With my rehearsals, I didn't even have the opportunity to watch any of the live broadcasts. :(

Wow!  Page Nine by 5:00 pm west coast time! :D

See? Easy peasy. You've just gotta run a couple of ballets!

Well, if that's all it takes...

We just got back from seeing the musical Once. I loved the movie and liked the show. More thoughts on that tomorrow.

That's great, MichaelG!  I got to usher for a national tour a few years ago.  It was a wonderful production and I love the show.
