Brittany from St. Francis Hospital called me at 7 a.m. and said that they needed help at OB/GYN and could I come in.

I told her I could come in, but I was not sure how much help I could be.  I gave her my name which is when she realized she was talking to the wrong person......

I could have told her that to begin with.....

Personally, I prefer my caffeine cold and carbonated.

I was relieved not to be sick this morning and made it for my appointment to my wonderful endocrinologist.

Because of traffic to Portland I always allow plenty of time.  I didn't have much traffic going and suspect the reduced traffic was due to the holiday weekend.

I still had traffic coming home though it wasn't too bad.

Joshie brought m,e an Irish medley - Galway Bay; Believe me, if all those endearing young charms; I'll take you home again, Kathleen; and some rollicky tune - and bore away the song from The Streets of New York.

Ordered my tri-salad from Art's - thanks to a 55% off from Uber, it's five bucks cheaper than if I drove there and ate there or even picked it up myself. Actually, if I ate it there, we'd have to add a drink so it is, in fact, ten bucks cheaper. And the deal is for two meals so I can order something tomorrow, too, from somewhere else.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I now both have head colds, but at least my throat isn’t sore anymore.  Everything’s a trade-off.

DR George, that Continental Baths video of Midler was shot by my friend Vito Russo. I never saw Midler and Manilow at the Continental Baths - I was never in the Continental Baths! - but I did see them and the staggering Harlettes in Cincinnati's Music Hall in November 1973, before they played the Palace in NYC.

I saw that show twice in Michigan - at Detroit’s Masonic Auditorium in 1972 and Ann Arbor’s Hill Auditorium in 1973.  Bette made a really lewd comment about Hill’s pipe organ.

Today was my first day out after being sick. I went to acupuncture and Trader Joe’s, then to the local taco shop. Glad to be home. 🏡 I’m still weak, just no symptoms.
