So, Andy talked and did Q&As for 20 minutes or so before the movie. Janet Maslin moderated, as she frequently does there, and she's good at it except when the discussion turns technical (about film), at which point she needs to close her pie hole and leave it to those who know things -- like Robert Harris, who sadly did NOT join yesterday. That was disappointing, but Andy was in a great mood and he's a joy to listen to. I think he hadn't seen the movie in a long time, and he was obviously having a very good time watching and reacting to it throughout. It was a fine afternoon.

Monday morning greetings! As Dolly Levi says, I have decided to rejoin the human race. Today we need to shop for our granddaughters’ birthdays. There’s a dual party planned for this coming Saturday - Minnie Mouse themed, of course.

There are many, many...MANY things I need to do around the house.

So much time and so little gets done. THAT is retirement, I guess.

I am woefully behind on cataloguing my movie and music collections (Blu-rays and CDs, that is). This is a task I must get to soon as it is critical for keeping track of what I have as well as what I wish to let go.

Collecting is a feverish passion until you get to a point where you cannot possibly keep up with it! I won't throw anything away, but may give some of it away at some point.

It's a terrible show! There are a couple of good songs, but the book is all over the place, there's only one killing which is bad for a thriller, and the leading lady stretches credulity to the point where it screams. I also cringe every time Gwen Verdon speaks because her British accent is pathetic
I cannot believe all the Tonys it won. I think the only atmosphere was in Reuben Ter-Arutinian's gothic, spooky sets.

The composer, Alber Hague, came to the show and tod me he loved my orchestration. I think he was the only one!
