Sally Ann Howes was a delightful Desiree in the NYCO Little Night Music, which is n YouTube I think

In 1998, the Kennedy Center initiated a one-season facsimile of Encores!  I understand the Kennedy Center was warned to give the try a few seasons to build their audience and start paying off. Well, they didn't. But . . .they did produced a mediocre Where's Charley? with a script edited and smutted up (I haven't had so much fun since I had a bath with my sister) by the author of Lend Me a Tenor. Some of the cast, including Emily Loesser, was good, and the older couple, who were delightful, were played by Sally Ann Howes and Bill Hayes. I met them backstage after the opening night.

Ken Ludwig also had written the book for "Crazy for You" at that point.

Well it is opening night.

I also have to work in the box office tonight - but hopefully I will be able to leave for a few minutes to be in the circle at 7:20 p.m.

I was looking forward to the next couple of days off, but the director asked me last night:  "You're going to be here every night, right?"

It seems he wanted me to check makeup & wigs and make sure everyone looks okay....so I said...."Uh.....yes if you want me to be."

Have fun.

Hugs for all!

Safe travels and have a super fun weekend.

I see the new neck doctor today. I had thought my appointment was at 9 am. It’s at 3:30 pm.

Groan on the time but good vibes for positive news!

There is a one-hour documentary on the scandal that is fascinating. It shows how thoughtful the casting was, how faithful the script was to reality. And it makes you horrified all over again that this happened.

Example: The tense hearing where Paula Vannells destroys herself with her lies is practically verbatim.

And the makers of the documentary show you the reaction from one of the subpostmasters in the background.

It is nice to know, though I really never doubted it, that the series is acuate.

I don't think it's the person operating the credit card system. Unless they're getting the 5% for their trouble? That might be a good thing.

I assumed that the credit card company gets the fee and the theeder has it deducted from the total amount that they get.

At least, that's how it works with the Square system that we use.

Last night I watched for the very first time a 1968 movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and now I cannot get that title song out of my head.

You've never seen the movie??  I love that movie!  It's certainly far from perfect, but I live the Sherman Brothers score!
