Jrand, it looks like I must have already done that with the new FB name Jackrandall Earles.
And you must have accepted it.

I'll try "reacting" to some of your posts that I'd missed and see if that works.

Sorry to hear about your pain, John G. Drinking a lot of water really does help. There’s a connection between dehydration and pain syndromes. Half an ounce of water for every pound of body weight is recommended by the holistic pharmacist I know. (Divide your weight by 2. That is the number of ounces you should strive for daily.) I find I need even more that that if I eat sugar or chocolate.

Hope you find relief soon.

Good to know. Thank you.

Finished Erik Larson’s The Demon of Unrest. The Confederates are hung by their own words throughout. And they sound like too many Southern politicians today.

Watched half of Hotel - really need a great Blu-ray - color's fine but it's not a great transfer - the Technicolor prints were gorgeous and sharp. Love the movie still.

Merle Oberon is top-notch, as is Michael Rennie - but everyone is.

Well, I was going to post this yesterday, but I was in the middle of something else and I saved it to a separate note app on my phone, so it has the direct links to yesterday's posts. :)

I had lunch today with the widow of August Wilson, who is a former neighbor of ours.

Wow. He was amazing. I've seen about half of the cycle he wrote.

I actually haven't seen any, but in 2013, The Green Space recorded all ten plays in his cycle, and simulcast the audio.

I was able to capture the complete audio series. :)

They're no longer able to stream, but this article has some more information:

New York Public Radio Announces American Century Cycle

The 2013 recordings of August Wilson’s seminal series will be made available for educational purposes.

Wilson’s American Century Cycle is a series of 10 plays about the Black experience in America throughout the 20th century, all but one set in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. Directors for the project included Kenny Leon, Phylicia Rashad, Michele Shay, and the late Marion McClinton. The recorded readings feature many actors reprising the roles they performed onstage, including Leslie Uggams, Anthony Chisholm, Brandon Dirden, Russell Hornsby, the late Roger Robinson, Keith David, Ebony Jo-Ann, John Earl Jelks, Roslyn Ruff, S. Epatha Merkerson, Jerome Preston Bates,  Taraji P. Henson, and the late Chadwick Boseman. The readings were scored with original music by the late Bill Sims Jr. and other composers who worked with Wilson.

My family came over to my place for our quasi-weekly family get-together, and to see the progress that I and my friend Shelly and my niece have been making on helping me clean my house.

There's still some work to be done (to be done!), but it's getting there.

We didn't play Phase 10 because my sister wasn't there and my niece and my sister's boyfriend had to leave around 1:15 so that they could host/facilitate the monthly PFLAG meeting.

Just the diet Pepsi, and I had some instant coffee for my mom, but she didn't like it. ::)

I really don't love Diet Pepsi.

They used to feature Coke products (including diet Coke), but they changed to Pepsi several years ago.
