Now that it's nice weather, and the windows and sliders are open, I am realizing how many of my apartment-dwelling neighbors have applicances or such that have batteries that are running low and that emit chirping noises every 30 seconds.

Listening to Night Watch, which recently won the Pulitzer. Civil War novel. The characters are largely Confederates. Don't care about any of them. And I am 40% into it. Hope it gets better.

I would stop reading it. I don't care to read books where I don't like the people.
