I went to the mail place and then Gelson's. Got stuff for sandwiches as well as a teeny-tiny half-rack of five teeny-tiny ribs. Those are eaten.

My sister wanted me to get a specific fabric from JoAnn Fabrics, but the Olympia store doesn't have any in stock.

The closest store that had it was Tacoma, but thd Puyallup store, which is only about five more miles away, had more yards available.

I used to love Skippers, and there used to be one in Lacey, but it closed many years ago, so I decided to go to the Skippers and see if it's still as good as I remember it being.

Well, the store itself is obviously old, but cozy.

The only bad part (in my opinion) is that they only had Coke Zero Sugar as the only non-sugared soda (I'm not a fan of tea), and not diet Coke!

Coke Zero Sugar tastes much too much like regular Coke, and I don't like regular Coke at all.

Otherwise, the fish was really good, and the fries not great, but not bad enough to dislike.

LeRoy Reams and Janet Eilber do the same number from Nanette that Bbby Van and Helen Gallagher do. They lack the ease of Van and Gallagher and work harder at selling it. Interesting comparison.

A Danny Daniels number that has an unfortunate mishap about halfway through. But the rest is sublime

My friend Gene Castle did this incredible Joe Layton number in George M - one of the greatest dance performances I've ever seen. Here, it's Wayne Cilento doing it - technically perfect but without a trace of what the number is called - PERSONALITY - which Gene had in spades. Then again, it was created for Gene. Go to 3:50 to watch.
