Back - from a longer-than-expected rehearsal in an un-air-conditioned church. And that's it for me for today. Except I might go out to the supermarket later, but no biggie.

DR Jane, we don't have a travel cooler, but the meds should be fine, so long as you don't leave them in a hot car and take them in with you wherever you are going.

I slept very, very well.

Dreamed weird dream.

I dreamed I was in a "Polders" program.

I had no idea what it meant, but everyone involved in carrying it out were fervent about it.  When was the last time you were "fervent" about anything?  I digress.

It turned out that Polders was a program in which older people, who were in stasis, changed places with younger people who went into stasis.  I never figured out why it was called "Polders", but it must have been "programming olders" or something.

Too weird.

Weird as in Republican?

Got the oil changed and slept some more. More dreams.

In one, the grown version of the sister I helped in the earlier dream sees her father accidentally. He’s running for local office, and she sees him campaigning. She starts screaming that he’s a monster and child abuser. And that if her brother ever saw him, he’d flip out. The brother, it seems, was a promising violinist until his father destroyed his hands. Under a new name, he became a prominent composer but was forever angry that he could never play his own music.

The father had left messages for his kids for years. They never wanted to see or hear from him again, so the messages were never passed on. He never understood that anything he did was wrong, but he eventually was forced to drop out of the race. The girl’s PTSD was terrible, but she didn’t want her brother to know.

In another dream, my friend and dance teacher’s late dog Tango came up to me and started sharing some love. Tango was a great dog.

The third dream had me working at a specialty grocery. I was learning the prices of things when I pulled out a package that was like a log of goat cheese but wrapped in green paper. It was mispriced at $384,000. I started laughing.

“What’s so funny?” an elderly woman shopper asked.

I showed her the price and said, “It costs extra, I guess, because it’s marked large.”

She didn’t get it and stormed off.

I just watched a film titled Count Yorga, vampire released in 1970.

It is most entertaining.  Although the title character is played by her ordinary looking actor, the four actors including Roger Perry and Michael Murphy in supporting roles are very good looking.

I don't know if it was the director's choice or the director of photography.....BUT it is a most excellent [clothed] baskets and buns spectacular of the supporting actors in 1970's garb.

And in the beginning there are several shots of LA that I am sure MR BK could identify.  The most excellent shot is that of DuPars.....a restaurant I only know from posts on HHW.

Not too inconvenient, as long as you remember them.

That proverbial trunk that got DRs Chaz and Elmore sure gets around! It got me today, too! And I even had a Me Day on Thursday.

I’d planned to do cleaning today, but I suspect there won’t be much done.

Thanks to Rodz for the legal perspective on my new rent-payment situation. I hadn’t thought about that side of things at all. In this case, we have the option of using USPS. I don’t trust it, given how much of our mail is missing. I’ll pay the $2.49 and be grateful that the rent here was so low for so many years. I’m also actively looking for better housing.

As for the missing T, I hadn’t noticed. What I do notice is how so many people, mostly of the young variety, speak unclearly. I have trouble understanding them. This wasn’t a problem with other generations. Is it just a trend toward sloppiness?
