Remember how you were supposed to cut away the tin top covering "the dessert"? So that it heated extra well?

But somehow the dessert frequently got overcooked!

Nothing in my life scalded my tongue like TV dinner cobbler.

I was never a Gilbert Gottfried fan until listening to his “Colossal” podcast which featured some fantastic interviews and showed off Gilbert’s encyclopedic knowledge of old movies and tv.

DR FREDDIE call time on performance nights is 7 p.m. - for rehearsal it's 6:15 so we can get started at 7 p.m. - so all will be fine.

That's good!

Last night's Superstar auditions were more productive than Sundays, but there'll be another round later because they still need

(wait for it)

men.

For some reason Go Daddy did not include "Stick to the top of the blog" as an option today.....so here is the direct link.

TOD

I loved the ones in my own years of discovery:  Bob Newhart, Woody Allen, Shelly Berman, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Joan Rivers, Phillys Diller, Robert Klein, Jonathan Winters, Don Rickles, Mort Sahl... Robin Williams a bit later...

Nowadays I don't try to follow them at all. Nathan and Kristi sometimes find a channel that has a bunch of current ones and they all sound alike to me.

I do like... let's see... Wanda Sykes? Sarah Silverman?  Who are some other ones?  I don't know.

I am so angry: I finished the two loads of laundry in the washers and went to the dryers. One is out and whoever used it last did not bother to report it to the service company. So, I will be stuck another e45 goddamned minutes at least in the basement waiting for my laundry to dry.

And I have more to report when I finish.

It looks like Masterpiece is going to be doing a new Maigret series. I’m sure it’ll be better than the Rowen Atkinson version, which was perfunctory.

I saw Eddie Murphy live as he was working on Raw. He was absolutely hilarious, vulgar and unforgettable.

Lily Tomlin’s shows were more theater than standup, but she was always brilliant on stage.

I always loved Bob Newhart and George Carlin, but I don’t know much of their standup work beyond a few filmed routines. Same with Richard Pryor.

An orange and white cat came into the backyard today and wanted to play. Sweetest cat imaginable. Lots of personality.

I'm up, I'm up - maybe four hours of sleep. Not sure which food item wasn't sitting well with me but it was something.

DR FREDDIE & DR JANE when said actor arrives five minutes late - he still has to get his microphone on AND get into makeup and costume.....and I don't want to give everybody a call time to match his.

We can sit and talk and I can give notes while we wait.....

Thanks for satisfying our curiosity.

Thanks DR FREDDIE......another dress rehearsal tonight....and we will block the bows.

Rehearsal tomorrow night - not a dress rehearsal.  And then we open in Venice.....I mean we open on Thursday.

I am sad I will miss the debate tonight - but I am sure there will be lots of clips to see.

The bed is made, and I did not need to ask Jen for assistance.

While I was sitting in the laundry room, waiting for the washers to finish , a woman I did not recognize came in with a big shopping bag. She walked past me without saying anything, opened a dryer and started putting clothes into it. I told her I was doing laundry and she should get the hell out. She left with her shopping bag of clothes.
