I have a speaking engagement booked for this morning. The booking was made in April. When I called this week to confirm, they had no idea what I was talking about. They forgot to put it on their calendar. They decided to go ahead with it. I'm hoping no one shows up; then I can just come home and still feel I have fulfilled my obligation.

But until then, I'm ready to take off for my morning walk as soon as it is light enough. It is almost 6 a.m. and currently 83 degrees.

Had weird dreams that I don’t remember entirely. One involved seeing a stage revival of one of those Boeing, Boeing type plays and George Michael was in a minor role. And I don’t even like George Michael.

Well there are no leaves left on the crabapple tree - they are all on the ground and the deck.

And a lot of leaves were blown off the bush and are in the front yard and on the front porch.

They are too wet to sweep....so there they are....mocking me.
