Nothing now, but two nights ago I had been reading something about Roman Polanski’s The Tenant (1976) and I watched every one of the extra features on the Blu-ray, all of which are wonderful and worthy of attention, then I watched the first twenty minutes of the movie. It’s always held a special place in my pea-pickin’ little heart. Now I want to watch some more Polanski films that I haven’t seen in ages.

I am so sorry about last (a She Loves Me reference)!  We had a full run-through for the costume, light and music designers.  For lunch, my friend Shelly and I went to Panda Express, and I tried their new (time-limited) Blazing Bourbon Chicken.  It wasn't horribly hot, but I liked it and thought it was quite tasty.  I'll definitely order tgat again.  Anyway, when I got home, I was planning on eating the leftover chow mein that I still have, but lost track of time while ketchuping on e-mails and game-playing on my phone. ::) I didn't even remember to eat the chow mein.

Do you have to throw out the chow mein?  (Doesn't chow mean get a bit gummy when reheated if kept in the fridge too long?)

Unfortunately, I've spilled water all over the floor, terrified the cats, and I haver a mess to clean up. I was in a pretty good mood at 5:30, and now I'm a bit terrified about my future and health and furious iver the mess I've got to clean up.

Vibes of feeling less scared to Larry!

Who knew that the hardest part of being an adult is figuring out what to cook for dinner every single night for the rest of your life until you die?

Maybe that what's Postmates/Uber Eats, ChowNow and DoorDash were made for?  :)

So Mia Farrow got Covid and was out of THE ROOMMATE and performances had to be cancelled three weeks ago.

Then Patti LuPone got Covid and was out of THE ROOMMATE and performances had to be cancelled this past Saturday, six days ago.

And as if this couldn't get more complicated, Patti LuPone has a concert scheduled for tonight (Friday) in Chicago that had been booked before she even agreed to be part of THE ROOMMATE, so that's a scheduled absence from THE ROOMMATE.

For the sake of those THE ROOMMATE investors, hoping insurance covers star absences due to Covid!

The asphalt truck with the spigots in the back is driving up and down the street - but not leaving any black top behind......

"The Asphalt Truck with the Spigots in the Back" - That could be the title of a gritty update to "The Surrey With the Fringe on Top"

I have to get the new Covid booster, but not till I'm over this cold. It's already feeling better, but I'd vowed to take a Covid test this morning. We'd just received the latest free shipment of four tests, but I'd also been putting off checking the dates on the hoard of tests left over from when the world was giving them out free every month. So I got the stash out and went through them on https://v.gd/c4domw

The extended date on every single one was long past, except for one brand that expired only two months ago. (Don't even ask about the other ones.) So as not to waste ALL of them, I decided to take a test with one of the two-month old ones, then repeat tomorrow with a new one. You should take it twice anyway, but thankfully it was negative.

So based on the dates, we're throwing away 31 (!) tests and keeping ten, only four of which are up-to-the-minute current. A little sad, but I guess there's nothing wrong with not having needed to use all of those over the last couple of years.

I expect the recently expired one is still good.  It worked for our neighbor and then we gave him an unexpired test that also came up positive.

I do, too. Those are just too recent to have no faith in them and toss them onto the trash heap.

Still no credit back refund has shown up from our host. I spoke to PayPal yesterday, who told me it should never take over twenty-four hours. We're currently at about forty hours.

Also, the package that was guaranteed for delivery today is now guaranteed for delivery for October 11th. Absolutely infuriating.

That's like the man at Menard's who told me that they have free appliance delivery - for $50.

I went back to Lowes.
