And of course there's the one about trying to cast the female lead to play Ms. Gaynor in "The Making of South Pacific" -

called PLAY MITZI FOR ME

From DR Vixmom:

This morning I called a few phone screen  repair places and was given quotes between $400 -$500

Ouch.  So your phone still works, it is "just" the screen that is broken.

DR Ron, you can feel for the guy and also not want to be in the cone of his self-absorption. How different you would feel if he asked even a few questions about you and your life!

It is a pet peeve of Keith's when someone never asks a single question and only answers questions about their life.

My Dad's place reports that all residents are safe with no injuries. The building has power, but phone and internet are still out.

TOD: Unforgiven with Eastwood acting, Mystic River without. But there are so many of his movies in both categories that I haven't seen.

WERE there any leftovers, DR Laura?     :)

Sooo many leftovers. Most people stayed home to watch the debate. Only about 10 out of 50 people showed up.

And the next meeting is on Election Night, so I expect the same turnout.

I think I respect Unforgiven more than anything else. It's a brutal film. But very well made

I'm mostly finished with Sinful Davey, John Huston's attempt to capture the magic of Tom Joes. it's a true failure, unfunny from the get-go. I have laughed twice.

But the score by Ken Thorne is a delight, almost as good as what he did for the film of A Funny Thing ...

The only odd thing is that this Scottish period movie has no bagpipes in it.
